So, what actually is Fritter Hollow? Good question. Here's what we've got so far:
Fritter Hollow is a kind of clubhouse. A base camp for discussing ideas, planning projects and producing things. “Fritter Hollow” also happens to be the name of a podcast where a couple of dudes discuss the above.
We’re Derek and Dan, based in Edmonton.

A longtime media, music, and production guy with a good ear, a practical streak, and an unhealthy amount of recording gear.

We love stories. We love to hear them. We love telling and retelling them. We love studying and discussing and collecting them. We believe some stories ought to be preserved.
If you have a story to tell, or know someone we should talk to, come find us. If you make interesting things yourself, do share. Or, if you just want to follow along, by all means.
Projects
The Fritter Hollow Podcast
This is our “base camp” production. It’s a mixed bag of conversations where we share our process, report our progress and do some off-the-cuff storytelling. It’s also a record of our showing up, our audio equivalent of napkin notes.

Hollow Dispatches
Hollow Dispatches is a personal audio podcast project, written and produced by Derek Letourneau. It’s a counterpoint to our long-form projects, with a little wider latitude and a little more risk. Definitely a little different.

GIDS
GIDS is the first full-blown limited-series podcast production from Fritter Hollow. We really have no words yet to describe it (without revealing the ending), so you’ll have to wait for the launch.

Rabbit Hole Chats
Rabbit Hole Chats is an experimental story-mining project produced by Derek Letourneau. Each episode features a single subject. Through conversations collected over the span of a few months, they, and we, may discover an unexpected story.
STATUS: IN DEVELOPMENT
Fritter Hollow has a number of other projects, events and ideas waiting in the wings. As each one takes form, you’ll learn about it here.
Fritter Hollow is built on the suspicion that both people and stories get more interesting when you stay with them a little longer. Participation is encouraged. If you know of a thread worth pulling, we’d like to hear about it.
